Roulette Player Guide

Roulette is one of the most popular casino table games which is relatively straightforward to play, as it is ultimately a game of chance. Despite this, roulette will certainly maintain your interest with the wide range of betting options that are available with it.

At totesport casino we offer players with 4 different versions of the game: European, American, French and Mini Roulette.

European ('Single Zero' Roulette)

In our European Roulette you simply need to place your bets on whatever colour, segment or number you think the ball will land on when the roulette wheel has finished spinning. To begin the game click on a chip with the value of your choice and then you can click on any area on the table which will place your bet at that same location. Once you have selected your stake amount and your bet, click play and the roulette wheel will start spinning!

The odds in roulette vary from even money for correctly predicting what colour the ball lands on (black or red) and up to 36x your bet for correctly predicting the exact number.

There are great choices of bets that you can place on European Roulette including 'Inside Bets' which involve you betting on any of the numbers within the roulette table (0-36). You can also do a 'Straight Up' or 'Single Number' bet whereby you select a specific number that you think the ball will land on.

There are also a range of 'Outside Bets' such as the 'Even Money' bet where you bet on the roulette ball landing on a number on one half of the table. You can also bet on either red or black and odds or evens. These are just a few of the wide range of betting choices that European Roulette offers its players making it an exciting and enjoyable casino game.

American (‘Double Zero’ Roulette)

The American version of Roulette follows a very similar concept to European Roulette. However in the American version, players have the added feature of the ‘Double Zero’ as well as the ‘Zero’. Like ‘European Roulette’ to begin the game you simply need to click on a chip with the value of your choice and then you can click on any area on the table which will place your bet at that same location. You then just hit ‘spin’ which will set the wheel spinning and then it’s a case of waiting for the outcome of the spin!

Again, just as European Roulette you are provided with a wide range of betting options including, ‘Inside Bets’. Inside bets include straight up, split, street, square, five number, and six number bets.

Your odds on a number bet are increased to 37x in the American version of Roulette.

French Roulette (only available in the Download casino)

French Roulette Game Table Layout

French Roulette is similar to European Roulette in many aspects: it uses a single zero wheel with the same number sequence, and offers standard roulette bets. However, the French Roulette game table layout differs from regular European Roulette in the way betting areas are situated and named. French Roulette also has a number of additional bets (see French Roulette Additional Bets). In addition to this, French Roulette has the La Partage rule. According to this, if a player places an even money bet and the ball lands on zero, half the bet is returned to the player.

French Roulette Additional Bets

There are two types of additional bets in French Roulette: Neighbor bets and Announce bets. Neighbor Bets Neighbor bets enable players to place a bet on one number and up to four neighboring numbers on either side of the chosen number on the wheel. Consequently, this bets enables players to place wagers on up to nine consecutive numbers with a single bet.

The winning number always pays 35 to 1 (see the payouts section in the French Roulette Standard Bets table on page 4). However, payouts depend on the number of chips involved in the bet. For example, if a bet is placed on five consecutive numbers and one of them is hit, the payout is 35 + 1 - 5 = 31 chips.

Announce Bets

Announce bets provide an easy way to place a number of bets. Announce bets are combination bets that are based on the positions of the numbers on the roulette wheel.

The payout of Announce bets depends on the number of chips involved in the bet. For example, if a Finales a cheval 9/10 bet is placed, four chips are placed to cover the numbers 9–10–19/20–29/30. If 9 or 10 is hit, the payout is 35 + 1 - 4 = 32 chips. If 19, 20, 29 or 30 is hit, the payout is 17 + 1 - 4 = 14 chips.

Mini Roulette

Mini Roulette is a variation of the classic single-zero Roulette, in which the Roulette wheel has 13 positions instead of the usual 37 (12 red/black numbers from 1 to 12 and a green zero). The betting rules and the payout are based on classic Roulette as well.
