Offer:
We've added a range of brand NEW markets which will be available on every race at the Cheltenham Festival. So if you want to take a price, make sure you choose the market that is best for you! Check out your options below:
Standard Markets
Odds: The standard book for betting each-way
This is the standard book that we have always offered at totesport.com. If you are having an each-way bet then this is the market for you
SP: The Starting Price
Take the price of the horse when the race goes off.
BetXtra Markets
Win Only (betXtra): Get bigger odds by betting on a horse to win the race.
If you fancy a horse to win then you should place your bet on the ’win only‘ market - it offers you bigger odds than the standard book.
Place(2) (betXtra): Take a price on a horse to finish in the first two places.
Similar to the Show(3) market but this time your horse needs to finish in the first two places. You’ll get one less place than the Show(3) market but you'll be rewarded with bigger odds.
Show(3) or Show(4) (betXtra): Take a price on a horse to finish in the first three or four places.
If you’re not entirely confident of a win but think that your selection will finish in the first three then make sure you place your bet in the Show(3) column. The price you see will be the price you get, provided your horse finishes in the first three places.
Note that Show(4) will be offered whenever four places are offered on each way bets, ie. handicaps of 16+ runners. Show(4) bets pay out on the first four places.
W/O the Fav (betXtra): Take a price on a horse to win the race or finish second to the favourite
Imagine that the nominated favourite in the race is not running and that the rest of the field are racing against each other. Your bet is a winner if your horse finishes first or is second to the nominated favourite. This market is available to win or each-way.
3-Way Match Bet (betXtra):Take a price on a horse to win a race between 3 nominated horses
This is a straight match bet between just three horses. The three involved in the match bet are those which have prices displayed alongside them in the ’Match‘ column. So you can forget the rest of the field, just predict the horse that will finish ahead of the other two.
